REPORT YOUR CHILD’S ABSENCE
Your child’s absence must be reported within 72 hours (see page 8 of the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians Handbook) of your child missing school. Three or more unexcused or unreported absences qualifies as truant per CA Ed Code.
Please make sure to report your child’s absence by one of the following:
- Write a note or present a doctor’s note upon your child’s return to class.
- Contact the school daily @ 887.3600
- Email attendance daily @ email@example.com
- Go to lindenusd.com and click on Report an Absence.
BREAKFAST – is served daily at 7:10am daily and is FREE to all.
ELP Closed March 13
ELP is closed Friday, March 13, for staff development. Please make arrangements for your students’ after school care on that day.
4th grade performance will be 7:00pm on Monday March 16th. Students need to be here at 6:30Pm!

Mark your calendar for Dad’s Day. Immediately following the Friday, March 6, Flag Salute, dads, grandpas, uncles and othespecial male figures are invited to stop by their student’s classroom and read to your student and maybe those who need a partner.
District Board Meeting
District Board Meetings are the third Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm. They are held at the District office in the Board room. Come down to hear the latest news for Linden Unified School District.
Census is Coming April1-3
Let’s ensure all Californians are counted so we can put resources to good use here at home! Linden Elementary will provide devices to participate in the Census here at school to those who need one. More information to follow in future newsletters. Mark Census dates on your calendar – this is important! Computers will be available April 1-3 at Linden El.

This week has felt so much like spring. The daffodils are beautiful! It is also wonderful seeing students running and playing at recess in the warm, fresh air. Teachers and staff are already seeing the end of our school year approaching. This is the time for students to makeup work and do their best on all work. The Linden-Peters Chamber of Commerce plans community events such as the Cherry Festival and the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony, in addition to promoting businesses within the community. The group is is need of many new volunteers to ensure these events can continue to happen in the future.
